Character Design II - Lesson 8 [Kids]
So technically this is the last assignment that I will submit for my Character Design II class, because the last assignment is submitting our portfolios to Stephen Silver and he will give us feedback, tips, and advice. So sad that once again Schoolism classes come to an end... but I am richer with knowledge and experience, so that's alright (: . Anywho, this "last" assign is involves creating four different 15-16 year old kids (grade 10 students, essentially). One is an athlete, one is a bully, one is shy, and one is smart. I like the style in which I finished these off and I hope you do too!

Character Design II - Lesson 7 [Animal Character Design]
Lesson 7, and we're almost at the end of the course. So very sad, I do really enjoy art schooling and gaining knowledge from the professionals (: . This lesson was taking a famous person and pretty much making them into an animal of my choice. I chose the star Mo'Nique because I like her sassy-ness in her characters and I made her into a bootylicious kitty.

Character Design II - Lesson 6 [Designing from Storyboards]
Here's another lesson! For this one, I had to clean up a storyboard sketch an then draw that character in another pose. Also, as a little bonus assignment, I had to take a picture of something in the home and then draw what I see in that object. Inspiration! (Click to enlarge)

Character Design II - Lesson 5 [Reference]
Week 5! Reference! I picked a pic of a cute tarsier just because they are so unique and I love their bug eyes (: . I made my picture into a sort of children's alphabet book page.

Character Design II - Lesson 4 [Drawing Women]
Week 4! Drawing the lady figure. We had to draw three waitresses in three different body shapes. I did banana, hourglass, and pear shapes. The banana-shaped chick is my favorite. She doesn't really care what you want to order, she just wants her shift to be over...

Character Design II - Lesson 3 [Caricature Characters]
Week number three and I was assigned to make a caricature of someone famous. It was a tough choice, but I picked Nathan Lane in the movie "The Producers" as Max Bialystock. I think I did pretty well ( and so did Stephen Silver!). *fist pump*
