Digital Painting Class - Lesson 9 [Part 2]

  Soooo sad! But sooo excited to post this. This is my last assignment with the amazing Bobby Chiu and it was SO VERY MUCH worth a chunk of my life ( : . I learned so much about painting and my skills have sharpened. This is my version of Big Foot (his name is Big Feets). He is the long lost and a little derranged cousin of Big Foot, lurking in the forest, hiding from them pesky humans.... But he's so cute! Ha ha ha. Enjoy : D !

Digital Painting Class - Lesson 8 & 9

  Apologies! I totally forgot to post last week's lesson, but I guess that it ties into this week's lesson, so no harm done. Lesson 9 IS THE LAST LESSON with Bobby Chiu, which is sad but also exciting. It was a thrill and an amazing experience to learn so much from Bobby in such short time and it has definitely improved my skills as an artist ( : . Lesson 8 focused on colour sketching and Lesson 9 was about colour finishing. The first image is a sketch done by Bobby. The second is the colour sketching (done by me). The final image is the finished product (also done by me!). Stay tuned for next week when I post my own bonus assignment piece. I am very excited about it and I hope you all enjoy it as well! ( :

I Want to Be in Your Bubble

  Just taking some doodle time for myself. It's me jumping into my boyfriend's (Tyson) bubble. We are being separated for the next year and some due to personal and financial reasons and I miss him so. But 20 more days, baby! Then I'll be in Sask. for a visit :D !

Digital Painting Class - Lesson 7 [Vectors]

  It feels like I've come so far since my first lesson with Bobby Chiu. Only a few weeks left ) : . Then hopefully on to Stephen Silver's NEW Character Design 2 class at Schoolism! I hope I can save enough for it.

  Anywho! I dislike vectors, but at least now I know how to properly use the pen tool and such. These classes kind of teach me about Photoshop all over again, and then some ( : . There were also some textures thrown on top of this image here as well. The doodle on the left is Bobby's, the everything else on the right is my doing.

Hair Practice!

  I had so much fun with painting hair that I thought I'd do more! The base head this time was created by me ( : . He looks a little crude, but I like him. Or her. I didn't really give her/him a specific gender...

Digital Painting Class - Lesson 6 [Custom Brushes]

  Lesson 6! Woohoo! I very much enjoyed this one. First, I created some custom photoshop brushes for myself, then I made hair and more hair. The bald lady base head was created by Bobby Chiu, the rest was done by me! I never knew that I enjoyed painting hair this much. So much so, that I'm painting more hair styles on my own for fun. Stay tuned.....
